Carnival starting round trips to Hawaii

Carnival starting round trips to Hawaii

Postby NDJollyMon » Thu Jul 01, 2010 8:10 pm

Carnival Cruise Lines will be starting a few cruise round trip from LA to Hawaii in 2011-2012.
That's a nice long cruise with no flying over the pond...which is a good thing. I love sea days!

Anyone else?

I did Honolulu to Hawaii and back to Ensenada. It was a long trip back to Ensenada. Too many sea days for me.

I got trashed in Ensenada when we did our "SERVICE STOP".
We got wasted with the ships photographers. :text-woo:

I don't think I'm a big sea day fan...at least not a lot in a row, especially at the end of a cruise. Discovered that when we were returning to San Diego from Cabo. Just felt like I had been on the ship too long without seeing land. I don't think I could ever do a trans-Atlantic.

We love sea days, they are so relaxing. To us the more sea days the better. I'm not sure about a transatlantic since the weather is often windy so not very good for lounging by the pool.

Sea days are gold to me!
Loved every one of them. No land in sight. Dolphins frolicking in the wake. Endless sunsets. No one in my face selling me stuff. Bliss. (of course...I travel in a balcony stateroom) :greetings-waveyellow:

I have to go with Towanda on this one. Especially if you gamble. Sea days can cost me a fortune - LOL. And they're boring to me.

Cruising to me...is about the ship. Ports are always secondary to the ship. Everyone does what they do for different reasons though.

I suppose once I have the opportunity to explore other cruise lines, I would appreciate sea days more. Same cruise line & often the same class of ships...nothing new to see except the decor & saw that early on in the cruise. Since I'm not much of a gambler, drinker or sun person, the ports are usually the bigger draw for me.

that's what I love about a cruise. You can do as little, or as much as you want. Many choices.
To some, the ship is just transportation to the next port. To me...it is the port! :text-woo:
